PLEASE NOTE: The appraisal district appraises property based on its status on January 1 of the tax year. All maps have been updated as of January 1 of the current year with the exception of pending maintenance. If you request changes to an existing parcel, such as combining it with another parcel or dividing it into smaller parcels, these maintenance changes will not be made until next year.

 We are in the process of making changes to our Facet Map Legend.  On each individual quarter facet map .pdf page, the school zone bounderies are updated to reflect the annexation of North Forest ISD to Houston ISD.

This page provides the capability for anyone to access and download the most up-to-date, detailed maps in the Harris Central Appraisal District. The maps are formatted to a standard 8.5" x 11" page.

To use the map Maps, Adobe Reader must be installed on your PC. Please refer to the link at the top of this page to download the reader free of charge. Please note that versions prior to 3.0 are incompatible with HCAD maps.

Of special importance... Should you decide to print the map file, please follow these two tips:

  1. Use only the print button located on the plugin toolbar (not the main toolbar of your browser).
  2. Set your printer resolution one step lower than normal. E.g., if you normally print at 300dpi, try switching to 150dpi.
